lyrics
How do you run from that you cannot see?
The scent of blood has beckoned doom beyond the galaxy.
Psychic wings descend upon an unsuspecting earth.
The formless one has travelled from another universe to slake his ancient thirst.
It's the return of the astral vampire!
Observing without eves and biting without teeth.
Soaring through eternal night to drain you of your energy.
Creeping through the window or the crack below the door,
You'll be dead while he you've fed is yet as hungry as before,
Wanting more and more...
It's the return of the astral vampire.
Rising from his gravevard in the sky.
Conniving to destroy the human empire,
And you'll be dying without ever knowing why.
Awakening in total darkness,
Not knowing how much time has passed.
Could this really be your body?
The time to feed has come at last.
The force inside a miracle to behold,
The glorious malevolence of old.
But when you hear the call you must obey.
Humanity will soon be washed away.

Yet another album I’m addicted to. This is definitely one of my favorite NWOTHM releases. It reminds me of being a teenager and discovering Iron Maiden. Love the sci-fi themes. Sludge Mouf

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
